I'll say it right now, the Mercury Lynx is nothing special. I wasn't sure what it was at first, but I looked it up; it is simply a rebadged Ford Escort. They were made from 1981-1987.
This particular one is an L model which as I understand is the mid-level trim.
This one also came with the automatic transmission.
